PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

As a parts manufacturer, we will deliver your shipment with a KAPCO|VALTEC Certificate of Conformance. This document certifies that the parts conform to the approved design data. An FAA Airworthiness Tag (8130-3 Tag) may be provided, if applicable.

RAW MATERIAL (RUBBER AND RUBBER-LIKE)

Raw Material is defined as product that is not installed on type-certified aircraft. It often requires additional processing such as “trim to size” before installation. This type of product is not a finished part and does not require FAA-PMA.

We stock a wide range of raw materials for the fabrication of our licensed FAA-Approved products as well as tailor them in accordance with customer-specified requirements. This allows KAPCO|VALTEC to stock a variety of products to meet your raw material needs at competitive pricing. Your raw material order will also be shipped with a KAPCO|VALTEC Certificate of Conformance. This document certifies that the material shipped on your order is raw material and has been manufactured in accordance with the relevant drawings, specifications, and processes. Upon request, an ATA-106 tag will be shipped with your order.

Also upon request, we will provide:

• A copy of the raw material manufacturer Certificate of Conformance
• Test Reports (a charge may be required)

Supplier Control

• OEM-approved supplier base
• FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval
• Documented system to measure supplier quality and delivery performance.

Incoming Material Control

• Receiving inspection to MIL and ANSI standards
• Inspection and review of material certification and testing
• Traceability maintained by source, lot and part number

Material Traceability

• Verify and maintain manufacturers’ documentation, certifications, pack slips, and release authorizations
• Provide 8130.3 tags for all FAA/PMA parts
• Provide standard form ATA 106 (Parts or Material Certification) upon request
• On-site FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representatives (DMIR)
